2.4Ghz Low Profile Disk Antenna

This new antenna is a great choice where low profile installations are important.  With approximately 3dbi  of gain, the disk antenna provides similar performance to the standard 'whip' antennas, but in a low profile form factor.
The low profile of the disk antenna  makes it suitable for installations that require the minimum amount of wind resistance or when the antenna must be unobtrusive for aesthetic reasons.
Here you can see how we mounted it on a micro helicopter.  A thin strip of basswood straddles the landing gear, and the antenna is secured below it.  This optimally places the antenna below all potential sources of multipath interference on the helicopter.
