Do you sell a ready-to-fly video system? I'd like to see what my still digital camera sees while it is strapped to my airplane. Can you help me? How should I power my 2.4ghz 200mw ready-to-fly system and Digilive? What is the range of your equipment? I'm not much of an electronics person, I don't even own a soldering iron. Can I build an aerial video system from your components anyway? What is the best frequency to use for aerial video? Do you offer a warranty? Do I need a license to operate your equipment? |
Do you sell ready-to-fly systems? Yes, at the present time I offer a 2.4ghz 200mw ready-to-fly system. Just add batteries! I'd like to see what my still digital camera sees while it is strapped to my airplane. Can you help me? We offer the "Digilive", a system that takes the live, analog video output from your digital still camera and transmits it to a receiving station on the ground. How should I power my 2.4ghz 200mw ready-to-fly system and Digilive? With it's wide input voltage range, you can fly the system on a fully charged 4 cell RC receiver pack, a 8 cell battery pack, or even a pair of lithium-ion cells. Contact the folks over at Bishop Power Products for a wide range of lithium-polymer batteries. **NOTE** that the 200 RTF system incorporates additional voltage regulation circuitry that is NOT included if you were to purchase the 'bare' components. What is the range of your equipment? The range of ANY video transmitter is going to depend on a variety of factors. RF power output, antenna selection, and local flying conditions must all be considered when making a selection, and we at Black Widow AV are glad to assist you in making the right choice. Simply email us with as much detail as you can provide on your application and we'll make sure you get the equipment that will satisfy your needs. I'm not much of an electronics person, I don't even own a soldering iron. Can I build an aerial video system from your components anyway? Most any homebrew system is going to require some understanding of electronics, and a small amount of soldering. I would encourage people with no electronics experience to consider my ready built system. Feature for feature, you will not find a better unit for less money What is the best frequency to use for aerial video? Whatever works best for you! In my case that happens to be 2.4ghz, so that's what I use, and that's what I sell. Warranty and licensing requirements See the legal and warranty page Do I need a license to operate your equipment? This depends almost entirely on the country you will be operating the equipment in. Generally speaking, most countries keep careful control over what sort of RF transmissions are allowed within their borders. It is very important that you find out what the legal requirements are for operating this equipment BEFORE you purchase. |
